Privacy Statement
Introduction:
Drury Hotels understand that visitors to our web site may have questions about how this web site collects and uses information.
We have prepared this statement to inform you of the privacy principles that govern DruryHotels.com.
Please note that a separate privacy statement and separate terms and conditions apply to the Drury Gold Key Club program (http://www.drurygoldkey.com/drury.asp).
Browsing:
We have not configured this web site to collect any personal information from your computer when browsing this site.
This means that, unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide us with personal information, we will not know your name, your e-mail address, or any other information identifiable to you.
Internet Protocol (IP) Address:
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer
every time you browse the Internet. When users request a page from our site,
our servers log the user's current IP address. We use IP addresses to help
diagnose problems. We do not link IP addresses to any personal information
about you.
Cookies:
Our web site uses "cookie" technology.
"Cookies" are encrypted strings of text that a web site stores on a user's computer.
Our web site requires the use of a cookie throughout the online reservation process.
In addition, a cookie is used to:
-recognize return visitors
-allow registered users to login without typing their login name each time
-"remember" the purchases of gift certificates that you place in the "shopping basket" for that visit
-customize the appearance of our web site based on the hotel brand you initially sought to visit (i.e., based on the web site address you initially typed in)
-store and recall user preferences and identify which of our web pages are most useful for our visitors
-measure usage of our site and the various pages on the site
-provide functionality and content that we believe would be of interest and value to you
The type of cookies that we use are referred to as "persistent" cookies because they remain on a user's computer hard drive until they are deleted by the user. We do not use cookies to gather information concerning your visits to other sites, nor ascertain any personal information about you apart from your dealings with Drury Hotels.com and your transaction history with Drury Hotels. Cookies do not corrupt or damage your computer or computer files.
If you do not wish to receive these cookies, you may set your browser to reject the cookies (consult the instructions for your particular browser on how to do this), although doing so may affect your ability to perform certain transactions on our web site.
Information Needed to Execute the Transaction You Request:
When we need to collect information from you, we will ask you to voluntarily supply us with the information we need.
For example, if you would like to make a reservation at one of our hotels, we will ask you for information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card type, credit card number, expiration date and room preference (non-smoking room or no preference) to process your reservation.
We will use your e-mail address to send a confirmation and, if necessary, might use the other information to contact you for help to process the reservation.
The same type of information would be requested to complete a gift certificate transaction.
We may also ask you to fill out an online customer survey, to obtain your suggestions or comments about your use of Drury Hotels services, or for similar purposes.
Providing this information is voluntary and it is used only for the purpose for which the information was collected and is not used for direct marketing or shared with other companies.
When a user makes a reservation online, the information may be transferred to a third party processing agent that has agreed not to disclose or use such information, (except as consistent with this Privacy Statement).
Securing the Transmission and Storage of Information:
When we ask you for personal data when making a reservation or purchasing a gift certificate, including your name, address and credit card data, it is transferred over a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) line provided you are using a SSL enabled browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
This ensures that your information is encrypted as it travels over the Internet.
This secure mode is enabled before any such information is transmitted from your computer.
You will know you are in secure mode when the padlock icon in the lower right-hand or left-hand corner of the computer screen appears in the locked position.
In addition, when accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https."
After information reaches Drury Hotels it is stored on a secure server that resides behind a firewall that is designed to block access from outside the Company. Drury cannot guarantee security of the information.
Personal Profile Information You Provide:
At your sole choice, you can create a personal profile containing information such as your preferred Drury Hotels hotel brands, frequently visited cities, interests (e.g., golf, tennis), whether you travel for business and/or pleasure.
Creating a personal profile makes it more convenient for you to make reservations by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter personal information. It will allow us to inform you about products and special offers that may be of interest to you. In addition, if you elect, you can include credit card information in your profile. Your credit card information will be used for subsequent reservations to increase reservation speed and eliminate the need for you to repeatedly enter your credit card information.
Accessing, Changing and Deactivating Your Personal Profile:
You can access and review, update or deactivate your personal profile information.
If you deactivate your personal profile and are a Drury Gold Key Club member, all information not already required and stored as a condition of membership will be deleted.
If you are not a Drury Gold Key Club member and deactivate your personal profile all information you submitted to create the profile will be deleted.
E-Mail:
It is our intention to only send you e-mail communications that will be useful to you and that you want to receive.
When you create a personal profile or make a reservation on DruryHotels.com or make a reservation via telephone and provide your e-mail address, we will occasionally contact you via e-mail and provide information about products and offerings that may be of interest to you.
These communications will typically relate to special Drury Hotels offers and promotions and/or the promotions of our travel partners. Strictly safe and private - we will not share or sell your email address.
If you would prefer not to receive such e-mails you may indicate so in your profile.
In addition to your choice to opt-out of e-mails in your personal profile on DruryHotels.com, you are provided the opportunity to opt-out of future e-mails in every e-mail message you receive from Drury Hotels.
We use a third-party e-mail service provider to send e-mails.
This service provider is prohibited from using your e-mail address for any purpose other than to send a Drury Hotels related e-mail.
E-mails you receive do contain pixel tags that help us to send the e-mail in a format you can read, to allow us to track the aggregate number of e-mails read and to measure in aggregate if any of the links in the e-mail were accessed.
No other information is collected or used from pixel tags.
Drury Hotels Use of Information:
We treat the information you provide to us as confidential information; it is, accordingly, subject to our company's security procedures and strict corporate policies regarding protection and use of confidential information.
Because laws applicable to personal information vary by country, our hotels or other business operations may put in place additional measures that vary depending on the applicable legal requirements.
Information is processed and stored in the United States, in which data protection laws are not as comprehensive as in the European Union. Your accessing this web site, or placement of a reservation with Drury, constitutes consent for the transfer of information to the United States for storage and processing by Drury, its affiliates and their respective contractors.
The personal information you provide to us for making a reservation is made available to the applicable hotel for the purpose of meeting your reservation request.
If you cancel your reservation, the information is stored for recordkeeping purposes only and is not accessed again unless requested by a governmental authority.
After completing your stay at a Drury Hotels hotel, the information you provide may be used by us for direct marketing of a Drury Hotels hotel, other Drury Hotels products or business partner products.
Drury Hotels may use the services of a third party mail house for the sole purpose of mailing materials. These mail houses are subject to confidentiality and nonuse obligations.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties:
Drury Hotels prohibits the sale or transfer of personal information to entities
outside of the Drury Hotels family and hotels for their use without your
approval and giving you the opportunity to opt-out. Drury may, notwithstanding
the foregoing, assign or transfer your personally identifiable information
(i) by operation of law, or (ii) to an entity that acquires substantially
all of our stock, assets or business.

If you choose to leave this Drury Hotels site via links to other non-Drury Hotels sites, including those of advertisers, Drury Hotels is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of those sites, nor is Drury Hotels responsible for the cookies those sites use.

In the future, we may need to change the privacy statement for DruryHotels.com.
All changes will be made here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information and whether we will disclose it to anyone.
