Local Area Overview
Every Ski Resort - It’s high time we cut to the chase. People go to Colorado to ski. So go to Breckenridge or Fort Collins or Steamboat Springs or Vail or Estes Park or any of those places your boss talks loudly about owning property in. It will be worth it. And if it happens to be summertime, and you can’t ski, go to those places anyway. Try hiking or fishing or napping in a canoe while your buddy rows your boat down the stream…or into rapids.
Mountains - Mountains are neat. They are tall and jagged and often have snow covered peaks (the peak is the highest point of the mountain, also known as the apex, summit, pinnacle, or zenith). Mountains are also rare. Denver’s mountains are part of a large mountain range known as the Rockies, which are named after the city’s baseball team. There are lots of fun mountain activities to participate in such as skiing, snowboarding, and hiking.
Denver Performing Arts Complex - With 12 acres of performance space, the “Denver Center” is second in size only to New York’s Lincoln Center. And Denver’s complex features much of what you’d find in NYC, including Tony Awards. Plus, it has mountains in the background, making it arguably sweeter than the famed New York establishment.
New Belgium Brewing Company - The New Belgium Brewery has been made famous primarily by their exceedingly popular Fat Tire amber ale, and since changing the bottle’s logo to a bicycle a few years’ back, Fat Tire’s success has increased all the more. A trip to this unique brewery is well worth it, but please; sample their unique brews in moderation. Altitude and alcohol don’t go together quite as well as bike logos and beer.
Sports Authority Field at Mile High - Whether you’re a Denver Broncos fan or not, Sports Authority Field at Mile High is a site to behold. Regarded as one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, overlooking the Rockies, and literally a mile high, it won’t matter if you’re there for the Broncos or the view. Though it may matter to some of the 76,000 Broncos fans around you, so be discrete, and wear orange.
