Local Area Overview
The Woodlands - Built within 28,000 acres of forest, this Houston-area suburb has been named one of the "Coolest Suburbs Worth a Visit" and it's easy to see why. The city boasts an elaborate park and lake system navigable by water taxi. Its thriving town center, filled with great restaurants, bars, and major retail outlets, is all accessible by foot or trolley. Plus, the Woodlands features the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, an outdoor amphitheater where past performers include Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner and Elton John. All this and more, only 27 miles from downtown Houston.
The Legends Sport Complex - Tie up those running shoes, hydrate and stretch out those hammies, then head over to the largest multi-sport and fitness complex in Southeast Texas. Legends Sports Complex is the ultimate destination for athletes, fans or just anyone who likes to have fun while exercising. Whether you are training in hopes of winning a gold medal, working to be named MVP in your tournament or maybe just looking for some active family fun, sports are in their greatest form at Legends Sports Complex.
Downtown Aquarium - Going downtown is always fun, and so is going to the aquarium. Coupling the two is sheer urban-aquatic bliss, which is currently the newest and hippest form of bliss. At the Downtown Aquarium you’ll first see great downtown features like parking meters and skyscrapers before being instantly transferred into an aquatic wonderland, then back to the parking meters, at which point you’ll wish yourself back in aqua world.
