Local Area Overview
Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery - In the 1940’s, when most Americans were transfixed with jalopies, bebop, and zoot suites, Bob Jones Jr. was busy buying rare, but temporarily unpopular, Italian baroque paintings. His bounty has since been on display at his university museum.
Roper Mountain Science Center - Full of many excellent learning activities, the Science Center is now featuring the exhibit “Walking Through Time with Indiana Jones”. It is yet to be seen whether you walk with the current 65 year-old Indy or his strapping 40 year-old counterpart.
Falls Park on the Reedy - The beautiful park hosts the Upstate Shakespeare Festival every year and is home to the vertigo-inducing Liberty bridge—a 355-foot suspension bridge with support cables only on one side!
Greenville Zoo - Often sited as one of the cleanest, well-maintained zoos in the nation, the Greenville Zoo features an exciting mix of exotic animals and close-up exhibits.
