Local Area Overview
Chase Field: The baseball game experience traditionally include freshly cut grass, hot dogs and cracker jacks. At Chase, you can get all of the above plus air-conditioning (when the retractable roof is on), a pool and a water slide.
Desert Botanical Gardens: The Desert Botanical Gardens aren’t just a couple of cacti and a lizard. The deserts of Arizona have some beautiful vegetation. There are over 21,000 plants in what the city considers their “Phoenix Point of Pride”.
Heard Museum: There is no better place to learn about the history of Native Americans than the Heard Museum. Beautiful, mesmerizing and sometimes haunting, this world-famous museum is not one to miss.
Enchanted Island: It might sound like a TV-14 reality show on FOX, but it is, in fact, a family-friendly amusement park. Geared specifically for children ages 1-10, this is an afternoon attraction tailor-made for young families.
South Mountain Park: Tell grandpa to start whittling you a new walking stick, because you don’t want to pass up the trails within this beautiful Arizonian landscape. The South Mountain Park drive is also a great option if that stick isn’t finished by the time you leave.
