Brian, Regional Manager
"I began working for Drury in 1994 as an Assistant General Manager. I had just recently graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics and had been working as an hourly employee for a couple of other hotel companies during college. I remained an Assistant General Manager at Drury for about 18 months, working in St Louis, Memphis, and Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1996, I became a General Manager with Drury running two properties in Poplar Bluff. I also opened a new hotel in Evansville, Indiana in 1998 as a GM. In 1999, I was promoted to Regional Manager with Drury and moved to Houston, Texas. As a Regional Manager, I am responsible for 11 hotels in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. In 2005, in addition to my Regional Manager responsibilities, I became part of the Strategic Planning Committee at Drury, which focuses on setting the company's long term direction and goals."

"While I was in college, my school held a career fair and at the fair I spoke to a representative from Drury and was very impressed. I emailed them a couple days later sharing my interest in Drury. They advised me to apply for the position that best suited me, and I started with Drury three weeks later. I began working with Drury in June 2008 as a Guest Service Agent in Collinsville, IL. After completing my last semester of college I was promoted and relocated to Louisville, KY as the Assistant General Manager in November 2009. I then had another opportunity and was promoted to General Manager at the Louisville location in August of 2011. Drury has endless opportunities for their employees, and I am very thankful to work for an employer that truly cares about their employees. I know there will be many more opportunities for me while working with Drury, and I am excited to share in the continued growth of the company."

"I began my exciting Drury Hotel career 18 short months ago as the General Manager of the San Antonio Airport Hotel. After spending 26 years as a General Manager for a large hotel company and living in numerous cities, I now call Drury Hotels home. It is very refreshing to work for a family owned company that places customer services first. In the past year my wife has passed away. During this time the Executive Management was completely supportive and caring to me and my family. I am very proud to say I work for Drury Hotels."

"During college, I worked as a front desk agent, parking lot attendant, food and beverage attendant, etc. at a very small Regency hotel in Downtown Columbia, MO. After graduating from the University of Missouri, I worked for several different Marriott hotels as an Assistant Front Desk Manager, an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, a Food and Beverage Manager, and a Front Office Manager. In 2010, I was hired by Drury as an Assistant General Manager at the Drury Inn and Suites O'Fallon, IL. I was at that position for about 14 months before being offered the General Manager position at the Drury Inn St. Peters, where I had the opportunity to lead the hotel through a major renovation. After having worked in several different hotels and companies, I have truly found my professional "home" in Drury!"

"I was born in the United States and moved to Italy at an early age. I have been working in the hospitality industry since 1995. During my college years in Rome, I worked for a youth hostel and then for an upscale boutique hotel in the outskirts of Rome. In 2004, after working onboard Princess Cruises, I returned to Michigan where I continued my hospitality career working for several years in apartment management. In 2010, I was excited to return to the hotel industry and become part of the Drury team. I started my career with Drury Hotels in April 2010 as the General Manager of the Drury Inn & Suites in Troy, Michigan. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the company's extensive leadership training and courses."

"Drury first welcomed me to the team in May 2010 as an intern at the Fairview Heights location. Although I had recently graduated with a business degree from Loyola University Chicago, I still had no idea what I wanted to do with my career. After being referred to the company by a friend and having done some industry research, I decided to take the internship route as a way to test the Drury waters. From day one, I was overwhelmingly impressed with the amount of time that my supervisors invested in my development. They cross-trained me in all hotel departments that summer and fall, and consistently reassured me of the advancement potential within the company. Sure enough, I was promoted to an Unassigned Assistant General Manager in December 2010, and since have returned to my original property at the Drury Inn & Suites in Fairview Heights, Illinois. What I like about this company most is that they recognize and appreciate hard work. I am just one of a long list of Drury employees who have been promoted internally, and I am without question optimistic about my professional development as Drury continues to grow!"
