Hotel will be company’s fourth property in market, general manager named

The Drury Plaza Hotel Cape Girardeau Conference Center is nearing completion and will begin to welcome guests this summer. The new hotel is the company’s fourth property in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In addition to its 168 guest rooms, the property features more than 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

As the hotel readies for guests, Drury coworker David Bortner has been named the property’s general manager. Bortner has been with Drury since 2015 and is a 25-year resident of Cape Girardeau. Bortner is a graduate of Indiana University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
